About the Role
We are seeking an Audience Growth Specialist with a strong focus on community growth and database management to join the Product & Performance Team. This role is pivotal in driving audience expansion by developing and implementing community-led strategies, leveraging content to connect with audiences, and creating opportunities for meaningful interactions both online and offline.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the collection, management, and optimization of audience databases for each community. You will establish best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure these databases are maximized for audience growth, targeted content distribution, and personalized engagement.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Community Growth & Engagement:
    • Develop and execute community-led strategies to expand and engage our audience base across multiple platforms.
    • Leverage content to build strong connections with readers, encouraging active participation and fostering brand loyalty.
    • Create initiatives that grow audience engagement through polls, Q&A sessions, user-generated content, and other interactive formats.
  • Content-Driven Audience Growth:
    • Use content as a tool to connect with audiences, ensuring alignment with their preferences, needs, and behaviors.
    • Collaborate with editorial teams to create content tailored to specific audience segments and optimize distribution strategies.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from the audience to refine content strategies and improve engagement.
  • Database Collection & Management:
    • Oversee the collection and management of databases for each audience community, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
    • Develop and implement best practices and SOPs for database management, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
    • Use data-driven insights to segment and target audiences effectively, optimizing database usage for growth and engagement.
    • Continuously monitor and maintain the health of databases, identifying opportunities for enrichment and improvement.
  • On-Ground Activation:
    • Translate online audience engagement into meaningful offline experiences through events, workshops, and other on-ground activations.
    • Coordinate with marketing and event teams to create campaigns that drive attendance and amplify brand presence.
    • Leverage offline interactions to strengthen audience loyalty and gather first-hand insights.
  • Campaign Planning & Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute data-driven, targeted campaigns (e.g., EDMs, SMSes, targeted ads) aligned with community and growth objectives.
    • Manage multiple CRM journeys, ensuring seamless execution across systems and connectors.
    • Consolidate and generate post-campaign reports, providing actionable insights for future strategies.
Who we are looking for
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 2-4 years of experience in CRM operations, database management, digital marketing, or audience development roles within publishing, media, or digital content industries.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in performance data tools like Google Analytics and CRM platforms.
    • Experience with email/marketing automation tools and systems, including campaign deployment, data analysis, and reporting.
    • Strong knowledge of database management best practices, audience segmentation, and data privacy regulations.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and external partners.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies for community growth and database optimization.
    • Creative thinker who can develop innovative approaches to foster audience engagement both online and offline.
